Message from Education Minister

It gives me immense pleasure that the School Education and Literacy Department (SE&LD), Government of Sindh is embarking on a significant journey to enhance the capacities of our institutions, schools, and teachers, thereby providing quality education to the children of Sindh. Quality education is not only the right of every student but also essential for creating a constructive, inclusive, and tolerant society, achievable only through the dedication and professionalism of our teachers.

Recognizing the importance of teachers’ growth and professional enhancement, the Government of Sindh is steadfast in supporting educators through Continuous Professional Development (CPD) initiatives across the province. This online portal for CPD empowers teachers to stay updated with the latest teaching methodologies, strengthen their pedagogical skills, and meet the evolving needs of students.

I firmly believe that well-trained teachers create empowered learners, and their personal and professional growth directly contributes to the quality of education in Sindh. Therefore, I encourage all the teachers of Sindh to actively engage in these development opportunities, exchange ideas with fellow educators, and embrace new techniques that promote student-centred learning.

Together, let us build a brighter future for the children of Sindh by fostering a culture of continuous learning and growth. Your passion, expertise, and dedication are the foundation of an inclusive and progressive education system.

Message from Secretary Education

The School Education & Literacy Department (SE&LD), Government of Sindh, is dedicated to achieving Sustainable Development Goal 4, “Quality Education.” This entails ensuring inclusive and equitable quality education and promoting lifelong learning opportunities for everyone in Sindh Province. A key component in realizing this vision is the Teachers’ Continuous Professional Development (CPD). Recognising that teachers are at the heart of the educational process, particularly in supporting students to learn, the department places significant emphasis on creating a robust and sustainable CPD program for Sindh.

In this regard, the Sindh Teachers Education Development Authority (STEDA) and Provincial Institute of Teachers Education (PITE) have developed a “CPD Policy” aimed at enhancing teachers’ pedagogical skills, subject content knowledge, and overall professional competencies. This policy is designed to invest in the continuous development of educators, fostering an environment where quality teaching practices are the norm and leading to improved student outcomes.

CPD programs encompass a diverse array of training workshops, seminars, and courses available both online and in person. These programs are meticulously designed to cater to the ever-changing needs of the teaching community. They aim to equip educators with up-to-date educational strategies, cutting-edge technological tools, and innovative methodologies that can be seamlessly incorporated into their classroom practices.

SE&LD has taken a significant step by developing an online peer learning portal for the School Cluster-based program. This portal provides a wealth of online resources designed to support teachers in their personal and professional growth. I strongly encourage all teachers to utilize this portal to enhance your classroom teaching and instructional practices.

Sindh Teachers Education Development Authority, (STEDA)

Message from Executive Director STEDA

I am delighted to introduce the ‘Teachers’ CPD Learning Portal,’ a groundbreaking initiative designed to support and empower teachers throughout Sindh. This platform transcends being merely a resource hub; it embodies STEDA’s deep-seated commitment to teacher education, with a particular focus on continuous professional development (CPD). It offers a vital space for educators to stay engaged in their professional growth, hone their skills, and enhance their ability to meet the evolving needs of our classrooms.

At STEDA, we recognize this portal as a pivotal advancement in our mission to ensure high-quality education for teachers. In today’s ever-changing educational landscape, CPD has become indispensable. Educators require access to innovative strategies, advanced tools, and robust pedagogical resources that enable them to improve learning outcomes for their students. The Teachers’ CPD Learning Portal provides comprehensive training modules, valuable resources, and a forum for teachers to connect, collaborate, and share best practices.

By leveraging this platform, teachers across Sindh gain more than just access to quality resources; they join a dynamic and supportive community dedicated to shared learning and mutual growth. This initiative underscores our unwavering commitment to fostering a professional network that acknowledges and supports teachers’ contributions at every step.

I am confident that the Teachers’ CPD Learning Portal will have a transformative impact on our educational landscape, empowering teachers to reach new heights in their professional journeys.
